You’ll remember him from The Alamo as the Mexican cavalry rider, who when shot by Laurence Harvey, does that spectacular horse fall — one of many for the ultimate “Fall Guy.” A veteran of numerous John Wayne pictures, he was a part of a generation of stuntmen that made movies more exciting. He was given speaking roles in such classics as Sergeant Rutledge, The Big Country, and The Horse Soldiers. Honored with a Golden Boot in 1997, his legendary career spanned 35 years.
