"Fort Apache"

Mary Gordon, Francis Ford, Frank Ferguson.

This first film of John Ford's famous "Cavalry Trilogy" serves as
a documentary-type western, offering a story reminiscent of General
George Custer and a tribute to the B Company of the 7th Cavalry.

The film opens with the bitter war general, Owen Thursday (Fonda)
bellyaching about being busted down to a colonel and transferred
to an ignored outpost.......................................................................
