Lloyd Bridges
Riders into the Sunset

Lloyd Bridges had trouble with blacklisters during the McCarthy
era, but his talents saw him through in films, and then later, in eight
television series, including Sea Hunt and westerns, The Loner
and Roots.

Bridges was effective as either a good guy or bad. His most
memorable western role is undoubtedly Gary Cooper's menacing
deputy in High Noon (1952). Other must-see westerns with
Bridges are Abilene Town (1946), Colt 45 (1950), and
Ride Out for Revenge (1957).

Bridges will also be remembered for being a down-to-earth
