"The Lone Ranger"

Warner Brothers, one of the major studios of the time, brought
the popular TV show The Lone Ranger, to the big screen -- and with
strong results. With what was normally filmed on a small lot, they went
full-scale with this memorable western drama.

In this story, Lyle Bettger plays a big shot land-owner with his own ideas
about the United States territory -- that it must remain as is, with him
owning huge chunks of it. He feigns his ranch hands as bogus Indians to
keep the pot stirring. With the real Indians as the "baddies," Bettger
insures that his consolidating power rests in his hands. The sheriff is
powerless against these odds and the Lone Ranger (Moore) steps in
with the ever-faithful Tonto (Silverheels) to prevent an all-out blood
bath between the whites and the red man. This film offers breathtaking
scenery, with sage bushes, mountain ranges and a broad view of the
great open spaces that's indicative of...................................................
