Guy Stockwell

Guy Stockwell with Michael Landon

   A multi-talented actor and teacher who taught in the UCLA Masters Program for two years, Guy Stockwell was a familiar face on dozens of television Westerns including Gunsmoke, The Virginian, The Wild ,Wild West, Lancer, and Wagon Train. In a fine episode of Bonanza, entitled "Invention of a Gunfighter", Guy played Johnny Chapman, who after finally learning how to shoot, turns bounty hunter and even against his friend and mentor Joe Cartwright.

    He also starred as Buffalo bill Cody in the 1955 remake of The Plainsman and starred as Zorro in a 1963 Spanish production, The Three Swords of Zorro. The older brother of actor Dean Stockwell, Guy passed away on February 6, 2002 in Prescott, Arizona.
