TOMBSTONE TRIBUTES

Roy Huggins

   Prolific producer and writer Roy Huggins is credited with writing over 350 television scripts in a variety of genres but most notable under his pseudonym of John Thomas James for which he produced episodes of Maverick, Colt 45, Cheyenne, The Young Country and Alias Smith and Jones. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of UCLA, Huggins was a pioneer of 1960's television series production and writing. Among his non-Western credits are Toma, The Fugitive, Hunter and Baretta. Huggins passed away in his Santa Monica, California home on April 3, 2002.
