TOMBSTONE TRIBUTES

Waylon Jennings

   Singer, songwriter, good old boy, and cowboy supreme "Ol' Waylon" appeared in several television Westerns with his good buddies Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson including the 1986 remake of Stagecoach and the made-for- television film, Outlaw Justice. Jennings also appeared in the Mel Gibson-James Garner big screen version of Maverick, wrote and performed the title tracks for Roy Rogers' last film, Mackintosh and TJ and TV's Dukes of Hazard series.

    Jennings began his career playing guitar with Buddy Holly and recorded 60 albums and had 16 number-one records on the country charts. Waylon Jennings died of diabetes-related complications on February 13, 2002.
