Artist Katie West and actor Jon Locke host the
Katie West Festival of the WestCowgirl and patriot Katie West is a renowned artist and photographer of Western content and culture, focusing particularly on horses, stars of vintage and contemporary Westerns, and the Old West. Katie successfully chartered an outstanding festival on a recent summer weekend at the Sportsman's Lodge in Southern California, in which she showcased her canvas oil paintings, watercolors, and petrigraphy, her own innovative process of fine lines engraved in granite, crystal and solid jade, of such Western stalwarts as Jock Mahoney, Dale Robertson, Tom Selleck, James Arness, Dick Jones, Sam Elliot, and Jon Locke. In addition to the gorgeous art on display, many Western celebs were on hand signing autographed photos for fans who came to enjoy the festival. It is our hope that the Katie West Festival of the West will return as a regular annual event.
