TOMBSTONE TRIBUTES

Don Durant
by: Crystal Samuelian

Don Durant

Don Durant starred in the TV series Johnny Ringo and is unique in that he both composed and sang the show's theme song. The native Californian also had parts in various mystery series and worked in a stand-out episode of The Twilight Zone, "A Piano in the House".
Born Donald Allison Durae in 1932, Durant served in both the U.S. Army and Naval Reserve before his career as a singer and actor took off. He died May 15 , 2005 of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. For more on this wonderful cowboy, check out Durant's interview in Wildest Westerns Issue #6.
