"Have Gun - Will Travel"

Reviewed by: Crystal Samuelian

"Have gun, will travel reads the card of a man... a knight without armor in a savage land...." Diehard fans will recognize the first two lines of the theme song from Richard Boone's popular Have Gun, Will Travel television show.
The complete second season of this magnificent show is now on DVD and available in a very well put together boxed set.
The set contains six DVDs with all 39 episodes from the second season in a stylish box any Western fan would be proud to have in their collection.
A real standout episode is titled "The Man Who Wouldn't Talk". It stars Charles Bronson as a rancher who hires Richard Boone's Paladin to teach him how to talk to women. Other episodes include such terrific guest stars as James Drury, Dick Foran, Peter Breck, Patricia Medina, Lon Chaney, Jr., Pernell Roberts, Vincent Price, June Lockhart and even the singer responsible for the ending credits theme -- Johnny Western!
In addition, all of the episodes contain background information about their respective shoots and guests.
All in all, a thrilling and creative piece of Western TV series history done right by CBS DVD.
