Ray Charles

If country music is the milk on which future Western movie fans are nursed, then the Western film genre is forever indebted to the universally acclaimed musical genius Ray Charles, who died on June 10, 2004, at the age of 74. “Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music” which Ray recorded in 1962 despite the staunch opposition of his producer and record company, generated two Top Five hits, including the easy-listening standard “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” and garnered unparalleled critical recognition.
