Kevin Hagen

Kevin Hagen was one of the most ubiquitous character actors in the history of the Western, having acted in scores of Western shows and movies playing everything from blacksmiths and stagecoach drivers to outlaws and lawmen.

Some of Hagen’s television appearances include The Big Valley, Maverick, Bonanza, The Rifleman, Lawman, The High Chaparral, The Virginian, and the pilot film (The Man from Galveston) for Temple Houston.

Perhaps best known for his sympathetic role as Doc Baker for 17 years in the popular series, The Little House on the Prairie, Hagen’s powerful range is further demonstrated by his chilling display as the marauder who runs Patrick Wayne through with a saber in Andrew McLaglen’s classic Civil War saga, Shenandoah.
