Richard Farnsworth’s career spanned over six decades, rising from a teenage stuntman to a variety of character roles, and finally, respected leading roles later in his career.
Playing a wide array of characters (mostly in Westerns where he looked at home), Farnsworth appeared in nearly 100 films, including Red River (1948), Duel at Diablo (1966), The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972), Rooster Cogburn (1975). The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) and Tom Horn (1979). Suffering from terminal cancer, Farnsworth ended his life on October 6, 2000
