Robert Young

    Though better known for his portrayal of Marcus Welby, M.D., Robert Young did appear in a handful of Westerns, his most notable being Western Union, in 1941. The son of a building contractor, Young made numerous movies before landing his starring role on Father Knows Best in 1954 on CBS. His fatherly advice and positive attitude on screen will be missed. He was 91.
