"Rough Night in
Jericho"

Dean Martin plays Alex Flood, the sheriff of Jericho. After
cleaning
up the lawless town, he becomes a problem himself by instituting
martial law and terrorizing the town's good citizens.
Molly Lang (Simmons) hires two former lawmen (McIntire and
Peppard)
to help run a stagecoach. The initial conflict occurs when Flood objects
to this set-up (as he was not consulted), and intones with conviction that
he must own "51% of everything." In a nutshell, Flood is a control freak
and runs Jericho as a tyrant. He condones lynchings to futher instill
intimidation and is not prone to mercy nor forgiveness......................
